Karhoo is a platform connecting users to transportation, born out of the on-demand economy. As Head of Design, I was tasked with harnessing the flamboyant brand, and reimagining its engineer designed products. Due to the fast paced nature of the company, creating a scalable, cross platform design system was key. In addition, reimagining the so called 'WebUI' was a crucial aspect of my role. As the founding designer, I wore many hats, and had my hand in all aspects of the business. Multi-tasking and switching gears at a moments notice was a common occurrence. Prototyping in Principle to create fake "interactive" product demos, Photoshopping logos onto anything you can imagine to sell the dream, late night Illustrator sessions crafting aspirational pitch decks, branded cigars, the list goes on.
