Thomson Reuters, a leader in market analytics and trading software, acts as a fusion of news, analytics, and financial content. Central to this offering is Eikon, a modern platform designed to empower financial professionals. As Head of Design, I was responsible for developing and implementing a new visual signature and design system. The role demanded a nuanced understanding of design principles, as the product is highly technical, dense with data, and akin to an operating system like Windows or macOS that works seamlessly across all platforms and is highly configurable. My responsibilities also extended beyond aesthetics, focusing on ensuring usability and consistency. In parallel, I had the opportunity to cultivate a team of talented designers, guiding and mentoring them to contribute effectively to this sophisticated and multifaceted platform.
